Is "FlightAware → SimBrief Converter" on Chrome Web Store Safe to Install?

[email protected] · chrome · v0.1.3

One click from a FlightAware live flight page to a pre-filled SimBrief plan. This extension adds a SimBrief button directly on FlightAware live flight detail pages. It only appears when the page shows a real flight with a callsign plus both origin and destination, and stays hidden elsewhere. Click it to open SimBrief with the key fields already filled so you skip manual retyping and move faster from tracking to planning. It reads what is already visible on the page (callsign, origin, destination, aircraft when present) and builds the SimBrief link. No extra UI, no clutter, nothing injected if the data is incomplete. If FlightAware has not yet loaded the airports or callsign, the button will simply wait and may not show for unusually sparse or special flights. No tracking. No data stored. It runs only on flightaware.com flight pages and does not make background network requests beyond opening SimBrief in a new tab. Recent improvement: the button now stays out of the way on non-flight or incomplete pages and timing is more reliable. Report issues or ideas in the project repository. Faster handoff from FlightAware to SimBrief with a single click.
